Kids These Days

Life isn’t all about having fun. It is about earning the privilege of having fun. So many kids today feel as if the world revolves around them. Fun should NEVER be a priority in ones mind. If Fun becomes your number one priority, nothing will work out. Above all else if anything Family should come first. You aren’t going to know most of the people you hang out in high school when your older. Your family will be with you forever so you build healthy relations with them.

Good grades doesn’t mean SHIT. This does not mean grades do not matter for your future. I am saying it matters because a lot of times the way you act towards your family is affected by your grades. Just cause you get your shit done, and get good grades, does not mean you can do whatever you want. 4.5 GPA my ass. If you get that grade and think you can do whatever you want and always get mad at your parents for being to “strict” and don’t build a relation with your family for the future, your fucked. You really are. Getting good grades should be a privilege to have on top of stuff you are already supposed to be doing, not a reason to do anything you want. Parents honestly know best and although you may not agree with them, you will find out when you do listen to them, it will actually help you out.

Often times your parents will yell at you for things you deem as “unnecessary” or “over reacting”. You should always think of it as a privilege to have a figure that cares about your future so much that they take time out of their lives to try and make you a better person. Although sometimes it can seem like to much, its better to just listen and take what they tell you and do what you can then just to ignore and rebel.

Obviously we all keep secrets from our parents but that’s the way it should be for certain things. We as the youth of the nation learn from our mistakes and should be able to live our own lives, but listening to parents about basic rules will help you in the long run. Things are easy to start when you’re caught up in the moment. Drinking, pot, and all that, and it’s not a terrible offence to do them, but you don’t always have to rush into it. You always have to tell yourself in the back of your head and say, “How will this affect the rest of my life?” because everyone needs to remember that they got their whole life ahead of them.

As Youths, we try to act like adults, but in reality no one is an adult. No one pays for their own house bills or earns enough money to do so. Even people will jobs in high school get jobs in order to please their parents who nag them. I am not saying this is always the case. But a lot of times it is.

There are so many spoiled kids ciphering off their parents money not giving a shit about their lives always having fun. Its sad to see. And because they don’t care you always find them complaining about how their life sucks. Well your life doesn’t suck and you can live again if you try. All you need to do is try.
